Summer Camps 2010

Springland Riding Stable offers 7 summer camps. Camps focus on improving skills and learning about horses in a fun and safe environment with the added bonus of making new friends.

Camp days will begin with barn chores including mucking out and feeding. The children will be organized into small groups of 2 to 4 of similar riding ability, for a riding lesson. Following the lessons everyone will have a chance to sit back and relax and have a break including chow time! After lunch a horsey theory topic will be taught improving your child's knowledge and appreciation of horses (every effort will be made to have different topics offered each week). During the day a horse related craft session will be taught as well as organized games to fill in free time. Finally our day will end by playing some games on horse back as a group. On our finally day we invite family and friends to come out from 1:00pm to 3:30pm as we put on a small show featuring our new riding skills for all to enjoy!

Riders of all ages are invited to attend, no experience is necessary just a love of horses and a willingness to learn is required!

Camps run from 9:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday and are limited to 6-12 campers, ages 5 and up are invited. Additional babysitting can be arranged at a rate of $10/hr

We offer 4 types of summer camp programs - we offer General horsemanship camps - geared to all riders of any level or ability, Therapeutic summer camps - geared to riders with special needs ranging from cognitive to physical difficulties, Combined therapeutic and general camps - geared to promoting integration amongst all riders and Advanced camps - offering an opportunity for those riders wishing to stretch their skills and improve their riding in an intense week of equestrian improvement.

Camp costs $325.00 plus HST with a discount being offered for early registration, booking multiple weeks or for registering siblings in the same week of camp. Horse & riding skills can be improved greatly by attending multiple weeks of camp.

A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required to register, along with the completion of a registration form. Registration forms can be attained through email request.

We can't wait to share our love and knowledge of horses with you!
